コムアイ時代の曲は本当に芸術的だった。
I would say Buckingham has an artistic side to it.. KomI was a great singer and really established Wed Camp and she should still be the matriarch..

i love her representation of Japanese folklore! from Kaguya-hime (this video), Ikkyu-san and Momotarou c: a lot of her songs have historical references or are about people, it's really cool!

Agreed! I love how all their songs are about other people (real or fictional). It gives each song a unique and different story. My favorite interpretation they have done was for Sen no Rikyu. The juxtaposition within the MV between modern and traditional represented Rikyu's ideals well and placed them in today's time.
A lot are about Japanese folklore, obviously because she is Japanese. Yet a few of her songs also are somewhat about ancient Greece tales or the King of Hawaii etc. So it seems her music is mostly based on tales.
There is one about Aladdin also apparently, that's an ancient Chinese tale.

This MV was so freaking cool! Not to mention the song has been stuck in my head for days ~Wednesday Campanella is always experimental with both visuals and sound! That's what I love about them. I loved Galapagos as it was an unpredictable but beautifully mastered album! I've loved every project they've released so far and I hope they continue on the path of musical expression. Komuai is seriously a performance artist like none other. I can't predict the future but she seems like one of the special ones!! I was so honored to watch her perform in Austin and she's only grown as an artist since then.
Lucky! I had no idea they had performed outside of Japan/Asia. Austin is close enough that it would have been worth making the trip too :(
Galapagos is probably my favourite album by them too!! I really hope i can see them live at some point 🥺

I love love love the music & the MV. She tells the legend of Kaguya-hime, a famous Japanese folk tale about a girl who was born in a bamboo shoot, found and raised by an old bamboo cutter in a village, then went on to live in a city in riches, but then was whisked away by Boddhisatvas to the Moon ('taken back'). There's an absolutely marvelous film, called The Tale of Princess Kaguya, which is one of my favourites, and I highly recommend watching it.
This is honestly a bad summary of the tale.

I'll be honest. I wasn't a huge fan the first time I heard this song. However, to be fair I didn't really pay that much attention the first few times but BITCH when that fucking beat drops I get so hype it's incredible. The perfect build up. Wednesday Campanella can really do no wrong.
