Has there been an estimation as to when this will be completed? I last played maybe eighteen months ago.
Not complaining that it isn't done. Just wondering as I have been limiting myself to completed projects for the past year or so. This one has been around for like five years now so figure it should be getting close to completion.

At least another 3 years - most likely longer. As long as the developer has ideas he wants to add into it, enjoys doing it, and as long as the supporters want the story to continue - it's going to continue.

there is really no point waiting for this game to be completed. at this pace the game will be finished in ~5 years or so and that's only if everything goes according to plan, who knows if we're all going to be alive by that point.

Naah, just joking... though I believe the tech update will be out in 3-6 months at this pace while the next two updates will probably take 2-3 months each due to the art being ahead of the coding. So... check back in a year, if not done at that point, it will be nearly done. For now, main story is kinda finished.

Lel, just because art is 2 builds ahead doesn't mean the rest of the game is going to be faster (case in point : tech build. Art was done before Xmas and we're at least 3 months later still waiting on posing/code). Another lel : the 3 planned routes. Getting to Judith's build is at minimum 1 year. And that's after the tech build is finished, which isn't any time soon. We might not even get R(h)onda's build until late 2022, if not 2023.
Not necesarily the tech update on their own words is meant to improve on the code to reduce bugs and facilitate updates, so if they already have art, story and dialogues ready, coding all that into the game and debuging should be quick and easy, so once the tech update has come arround they should be able to deliver updates every 3 months if they already have the art and story.

"Should be quick" didn't happen. They've been at it for a year now and still need at least another 3-4 months.
Tech update isn't just code, DC had to redraw/update everything for the new 16:9 resolution.
Most "normal" updates take around 4 months, whatever happens around the dev time. Even if DC finishes art for R(h)onda's build by the end of the month, coder still needs to finish the tech build before coming into her build. Which won't be soon and/or fast
