 The official website of the television anime adaptation of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yuusuke Nomura's Blue Lock manga revealed on Friday ten supporting cast members, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2022 on TV Asahi and its 24 affiliated station's NUMAnimation programming block.Cast Wataru Kuon: Masatomo Nakazawa (Given) Jingo Raichi: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Days (TV)) Yuudai Imamura: Shouya Chiba (All Out!!) Gin Gagamaru: Shuugo Nakamura (Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy) Asahi Naruhaya: Daishi Kajita (SD Gundam World Heroes) Iemon Okuhito: Ryuunosuke Watanuki (Mob Psycho 100) Gurimi Igarashi: Aoi Ichikawa (Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu) Ryousuke Kira: Kenichi Suzumura (Captain Tsubasa (2018)) Jinpachi Ego: Hiroshi Kamiya (Haikyuu!!) Anri Teieri: Eri Yukimura (Leadale no Daichi nite) Tetsuaki Watanabe (Mahoujin Guruguru (2017) assistant director) is helming the anime at animation studio 8bit. Taku Kishimoto (Haikyuu!!) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Yuu Shindou (Macross Δ), Kenji Tanabe (Binbougami ga!), and Kento Toya (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu) are designing the characters. Jun Murayama (Re-Main ending theme arrangement) is composing the music. Kaneshiro and Nomura began serializing the soccer manga in Weekly Shounen Magazine in August 2018. Kodansha published the 18th volume on March 17, with the 19th volume scheduled to ship on May 17. Blue Lock has a cumulative 8.3 million copies of its volumes in circulation. | I'm lowkey worried and uncertain about the soccer animation because they seem to put more detail onto the facial expressions but only time can tell to see the uncertainty for the better or worse. |
| LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO Definitely wasn’t expecting ego to sound like that, don’t know how to feel abt it. On the whole the voices go pretty well. Really like that theme they used in this and all the character pvs, go well with the egoistic theme. Key visual seems a bit underwhelming but wow that trailer was amazing. Obviously not the finished project but I’m very hopeful now, and confident the anime will be a success. Looks like they nailed the animation, and the scenery + character designs were top notch. Pretty much as good as we could’ve hoped for, and surprising to say the least. Also nice to see its this year, but I’m worried abt it having to compete with other huge anime. |
| As you'd expect, the production is very weak. They are trying to go for more of a "moving-manga" approach so most manga fans are probably going to be satisfied. The most interesting thing about this is how it's coming out in Fall 2022 lmao. Dude, what is this season. |
